I'm looking to buy a gst.... and when i go to look at one, i want to make sure its a gst and not a gs... so is there like a badge or emblem on the back saying gst or turbo?? Furthermore, if it does say turbo, how can i tell if its a gst or gsx?

just look at the odometer its the easiest way to know the turbo models have two extra gauges for measuring boost and the other one for oil pressure the gs and rs just have the rpms miles per hour fuel and temperature gauge. also gst and gsxs usually have a double tipped muffler gs and rs come with a single muffler i would tell you to look at the engine but since your asking a question on how to tell cars apart you probably dont know much about the engines

If the timing belt is on the right side, it's a GST, it's it's on the left side, it's a GS.
95-96 turbo models have a grey strip along the bottom of the car while the non turbo doesn't. It runs along the bumpers and side skirts and every model color had it.
97-99 have a high rise wing instead of the low rise, three piece wing but be careful, there was a special edition 99 GS that came with it also.
The only way to know for sure is to look at the motor itself.

The RS is the cheap version with out power windows, sunroof, leather, and low priced radio. Take a pass on them both, they have the 420a motor and it's not a real Mitsubishi, just a Neon in a Mits body. You would be much better off with a GST or GSX. If you buy a 2000 or newer, all the Eclipse models are fine, I prefer the 6 cylinder.

Open the damn hood. If there is a snail, it's turbo. If it has a rear diff it's a GSX.
